Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton Celebrates Chartering Ceremony

Members, local leaders gather for club's formation.

The Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton held its Chartering Ceremony April 16 at the Atlanta Athletic Club. Rotary Club members and local leaders gathered for the event, which celebrated the club’s formation.

The club’s 26 charter members include elected officials, former school teachers, retired military officers and business, religious, and community leaders.

“These individuals all played a large role in creating a successful club,” said Rory Robichaux, president of the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton. “The chartering of this Rotary Club is the embodiment of the can-do spirit of this community. The club’s vision is to help make Johns Creek a better place to live, work and play.”

Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker and Rotary District 6900 Governor Cheryl Greenway spoke to more than 50 people in attendance and praised the club’s efforts thus far. 

The Rotary Club assists organizations such as the local libraries, Johns Creek Arts Center, Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra, schools, police and fire departments, as well as military families. The club also supports Habitat for Humanity, awareness of human trafficking, as well as Rotary International's global initiatives to eradicate Polio and bring clean drinking water to people in less-developed countries in the world.
