Local Author Gets Romance Series Published

Tracy Solheim will be signing copies of the first book, May 8, at Jackie's Embroidery.

Tracy Solheim's is a Cinderella story. The Johns Creek mother of two will soon realize her dreams as a writer when the first of her three-series romance novels launch nationwide next week.

"I guess you could say I’m a frustrated sports writer at heart, but I love writing - and reading - books centered around sports. I can thank my dad for that. He introduced me to Dick Francis novels when I was a teenager and I was hooked,” Solheim said, in a statement sent to Patch. "I’m also a big fan of the happily ever after endings of romance novels, so it was only natural that I combined the two elements in my fiction debut."

A freelance writer for local and national trade publications, Solheim has been writing for newspapers, magazines and television since she was a teenager, so writing her own book series was a natural creative progression.

The first book, "GAME ON" features the off the field antics of players from a fictional professional football team, the Baltimore Blaze. The story continues with the second book, "FOOLISH GAMES," set to be released Dec. 3, 2013. And finally "WICKED GAME," the third book in the series, is scheduled to be published in May of 2014. All three titles, published by Berkley Publishing Group, will be available in both print and e-book formats.

In a recent review, Rhapsody Book Club published the following about “Game On:”
