To keep major roads clear of ice and snow, Johns Creek is supplementing its spreader trucks with two motor-graders and a bladed truck. Roads in Johns Creek are increasingly slick but still open. City crews are concentrating on keeping major roads navigable.
Johns Creek Police have 10 units helping identify iced-over stretches of road. The City is employing three spreader trucks, and four smaller trucks for manually distributing salt and sand. Gov. Nathan Deal and City officials encourage everyone to stay off the roads Wednesday.
Power outages remain a possibility. Georgia Power customers can report or monitor outages by visiting outagemap.georgiapower.com.All City administrative offices and recreational facilities are closed Wednesday.
