Johns Creek To Show "Mr. Peabody & Sherman"

The first installment of the 2014 Movies at Newtown Park series will start at dusk on Saturday, June 14 at Newtown Park.

The first installment of the 2014 Movies at Newtown Park will include the showing of the movie "Mr. Peabody & Sherman."

The animated movie, which is rated PG, tells the story of the time-traveling adventures of a canine and his adopted son as the work to fix a time rift they created. 

The movie will start at dusk, Saturday, June 14 at Newtown Park, located at 3150 Old Alabama Road.

Go back in time and experience some of history’s major events with “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” in the first of Johns Creek’s 2014 Movies at Newtown Park series, starting June 14. 

Movies at Newtown Park, now in its eighth year, is a free, three-movie series of family-friendly films shown on an inflatable screen in a picnic atmosphere at Newtown Park.

The movies, which are free, will include a pre-show entertainment such as inflatable moonwalk, face-painting, children's activities, giveaways, music, food and drinks. 

The pre-show activities will start roughly two hours before sundown.  

Families are encouraged to bring blankets and relax as they watch the movie. No alcohol or pets are allowed.

The movie titles will be announced a week prior to each event. Movies shown will be rated G or PG.
