Johns Creek Restaurants to Compete at Taste of Alpharetta

More than 20 of the 52 restaurants at Taste of Alpharetta today will participate in the Culinary Competition.

Restaurants serving up samples of some signature dishes at the 22nd Annual will be competing not only to please local residents' taste buds; they'll also put their food up against each other in the Culinary Competition. And those competing restaurants will include Johns Creek's own and Italian restaurant.

More than 20 of 52 participating restaurants will compete on the Culinary Competition Stage on Roswell Street. The city's Special Events staff says the public is invited to watch as local chefs prepare their best dishes in the Culinary Arts Kitchen.  The competitions will heat-up between 5 and 7 p.m., with the final Taste of Alpharetta Culinary Awards presented at 8:10 p.m. at the Music Stage on Milton Avenue.

Culinary Judges will be Tom Maicon, Atlanta Cuisine on Tap editor; Helen Cauley, a freelance restaurant writer who contributes to the AJC, Sunday Paper and Atlanta Now Magazine; and Ashley Brooke, Whole Foods Market Salud! Cooking School Regional Team Leader.
