'Guns and Hoses Golf Tournament' Registering Teams Now
Individuals and groups may also sponsor the June 3 tournament, which benefits police and fire families within the public safety foundation during times of need.
The Johns Creek Business Association (JCBA) has teamed up with the Johns Creek Police and Fire departments to co-host the 3rd Annual Greg Whitaker Memorial “Guns and Hoses Golf Tournament” will be held on Monday, June 3 at St. Ives Country Club.
The tournament benefits police and fire families within the public safety foundation during times of need, according to a recent JCBA announcement.
"This year’s Tournament will be filled with excitement and superb golfing and is expected to be a sold out event," said Wayne Carrel, JCBA Golf Committee Chair 2013. "Proceeds will go to the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation. Proceeds will be used to assist the fallen police and fire officers, their spouse and children in times of great need and/or loss. I thank you in advance for your participation and sponsorship in this great opportunity to reach out and help others in their time of need and look forward seeing you on June 3."

The Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides funding and resources for programs and services that benefit Johns Creek's police officers and firefighters in the areas of community policing, safety, education and personal needs during times of crisis or loss.
