UPDATE: Brumbelow Road Is Now Open

A tree has fallen on power lines on Brumbelow Road near Stoney Ridge Drive, and Johns Creek crews expect the road to re-open by 11 a.m.

A portion of Brumbelow Road has been closed by the Johns Creek Fire Department as crews work to remove a tree that's fallen on some power lines.

The road is closed near Stoney Ridge Drive, and Sawnee EMC is in route to help remove the tree, the city of Johns Creek said in a news release.

Johns Creek Public Works crews estimate the road will re-open at around 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29.

The National Weather Service is forecasting potentially severe storms today through Wednesday with a possibility of 2 to 4 inches of rain, tornadoes in west and northwest Georgia and a moderate chance of wind damage. 

Flash flooding is also possible, and the city warns residents to refrain from trying to cross a low area with flowing water.
