2. NATURE HIKES AT AUTREY MILL

Where/When: , Friday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m.

Why Go: Director Ben Team leads these one-hour hikes through the Autrey Mill woodlands. Want to know what goes "bump" in the night? He leads evening hikes, too. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by parents.

Pricing: $5 members, $7 non-members, ages 3 and under free. Registration required.

Where/When: Technology Park, Saturday, Feb. 12, 8 a.m. to noon

Why Go: This 5K run honors the life of Will Trautwein, a Northview High student who committed suicide. The run benefits the Will-to-Live Foundation, which promotes education and awareness of teen suicide prevention.

Pricing: $15 runners under 12, $20 runners over 12

Where/When: NE Spruill Oaks Library; Friday, Feb. 11, 1 to 5 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 13, 2 to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Book sale proceeds benefit the library and books for all ages and interests are waiting to be discovered. 

Pricing: Book range in price from 25 cents to $3.
