5 Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 8

1. State of the City. Mayor Mike Bodker will deliver his annual State of the City Address at the  on Friday at 7:30 a.m. The event, hosted by the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce and the Johns Creek Business Association, includes a breakfast buffet, the mayor's address, and a Q&A session. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased here or at the door.

2. Tonight's Basketball. Chattahoochee Cougars host Forsyth Central, Johns Creek Gladiators host Roswell, and Northview Titans host Centennial. Girls play at 6; boys at 7:30.

4. Today's Weather. Today will be mostly sunny with highs reaching 45.

5. Road Watch. Installation of new traffic signal at State Bridge at Publix/Target could cause lane closures and delays through Feb. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Northbound lane of Johns Creek Parkway south of McGinnis-Ferry will be closed all day through Feb. 11 due to discovery of an unmarked, paved-over manhole. Expect delays.
