1. Crime Safety Workshop. Johns Creek residents are invited to police headquarters at 11445 Johns Creek Parkway tonight from 6 to 8 for a special "Holiday Crime Safety" workshop. The free class focuses on preventing home burglaries, thefts from motor vehicles and robberies, along with holiday crime safety tips.

2. Win $100K for Your School. Enter our Deck the House contest for a chance at $100,000 for Johns Creek public schools. Finalists will win $500 toward electricity bills. Deadline is Dec. 26.

3. Toys for Tots. The city of Johns Creek is collecting toys for children in need. New, unwrapped toys can be placed in the collection box on the fourth floor of  through Dec. 23. Additional drop-off locations are Fire Station 61 (10265 Medlock Bridge Parkway), Fire Station 62 (10925 Rogers Circle) and Fire Station 63 (3165 Old Alabama Road).
