5 Things You Need to Know This Weekend: June 4-5

1. Heritage Day at Autrey Mill. Explore the past and learn something about Johns Creek's local history at on Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Interactive demonstrations, historic building tours, live music and an old-timers round table will be featured and refreshments will be available at the .

2. Humane Society Open House. Tour the future North Fulton while enjoying food, music and vendors. The family pet and animal rescue groups are welcome. Saturday, 3 to 7 p.m. 1565 Mansell Road, Alpharetta.

4. Road Watch. The city of Alpharetta has closed Douglas Road due to a road construction project. Detour routes will be posted using Jones Bridge Road and McGinnis-Ferry Road.
