Randall Johnson files for reelection to Johns Creek City Council

Randall Johnson, who has served as Johns Creek City Councilman in Post 1 since the incorporation of the city in 2007, filed his paperwork on Monday with the City Clerk to run for reelection in the November 5, 2013 election.

“I'm proud of what we have accomplished coming together as a city, and committed to continuing our development as Metro Atlanta and North Fulton County's premier community in which to live, work, and raise a family,” said Johnson.

“Since the incorporation of Johns Creek, we have built miles of sidewalks, paved miles of streets, improved ten important intersections, and made significant improvements in our quality of life and most importantly, our public safety. Last year, burglaries were down 20% and traffic fatalities were reduced from 12 in 2007 to zero last year, and zero so far this year,” said Johnson.

“Response time for 911 calls has been halved; 90 percent of 911 calls are answered in less than ten seconds and processed in less than 90 seconds. That's a life-saving difference,” said Johnson.

“Having invested much of the last six years with our partners in the community, we have much to be proud of, but I hope to serve one more term to keep our momentum going. I look forward to speaking with the voters about the progress we have made in creating our community, and our shared vision for the future of Johns Creek,” said Johnson.

Randall Johnson was a founding member of Citizens for Newtown and worked for passage of the 2006 referendum to incorporate the City of Johns Creek. After passage of the referendum, he served with Committee for Johns Creek to lay the groundwork for a successful municipal launch.

He was appointed to serve on the Milton County Legislative Advisory Committee to advise Speaker Pro Tem Jan Jones and State Rep. Lynne Riley on the prospective creation of Milton County.
