Northview High School Wins Second Place in Clean Air Campaign Competition

It was announced earlier this week that Northview High School captured second place in the 2014 Get There Green High School contest hosted by The Clean Air Campaign. The competition, an action-oriented program designed to educate students about pollution reduction, is designed to help students create and implement sustainable transportation plans for their schools.

Students were judged based on the plans they developed to reduce impact of daily transportation behaviors on local air quality.

“This was another competitive year for Get There Green. We had 20 schools from across Georgia participate and all of them put forth great effort,” said Gretchen Gigley, director of education at The Clean Air Campaign. “It’s inspiring to see our future leaders developing real-world solutions to improve local air quality and transportation problems in their communities.”
