North Fulton Runners Excel at College Level

Two North Fulton runners are making news as freshmen at Furman University this fall.  Allie Buchalski (2013 graduate of Johns Creek High School) and Nate Reich (2013 graduate of Milton High School) have both been named to the Freshman Southern All –Conference Team.  Their efforts contributed to a first place finish by Furman’s Men’s and Women’s sqads in the Southern Conference Championships in October.  Buchalski was also named the 2013 SoCon Women’s Cross Country Freshman of the Year after leading Furman to its first conference title since 2000. Buchalski moved on to finished 10th in the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships in Charlottesville, VA.  Her results have earned her a spot on the All-Southeast Region cross country team.
