Hooch's Hathaway to Play DII Lacrosse at Young Harris

Chattahoochee High School’s Zack Hathaway has committed to play lacrosse at Young Harris College in the fall. Young Harris is an NCAA Division II college in the southern Appalachian mountains of northeastern Georgia. Hathaway will be joining the Mountain Lions under Coach Kirk Rogers.

After spending his Jr. Cougar years dedicated to football and basketball, Hathaway began playing lacrosse his freshman year. As a freshman, he began as a third-string midfielder, but quickly found his place as a starter and was named JV MVP. Hathaway went on to letter the next three years and help Chattahoochee reach the Georgia 4A State Quarterfinals in 2012 and the Georgia 6A State Quarterfinals in 2013.

Hathaway also played club lacrosse for the Georgia Outlaws in 2012 and 2013 and was invited to play for The Crush on an as-needed basis. He helped coach the Jr. Cougar U15 Boys' Lacrosse team, on which his brother Luke played. He also earned an Athletic Athlete Award as well as an academic scholarship to Young Harris.
