Chattahoochee's Corrigan to Play DII Lacrosse at Lenoir-Rhyne

Chattahoochee High School's Ben Corrigan has signed a national letter of intent to play lacrosse for Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. Lenoir-Rhyne is a member of the NCAA Division II South Atlantic Conference.

Corrigan has been a midfield starter and face-off specialist on Chattahoochee's varsity team since he was a freshman and has earned three varsity letters. During the 2012 season, he was named to the Georgia All-Star team and also earned GHSA All-State Honorable Mention. Selected for the Brine All-American Classic Team in 2012, Corrigan was a two-time All-Star at the 2012 and 2013 Southern Select Camps, once as a midfielder and once as a face-off specialist. He has served as a Cougar-2-Cougar mentor for the Jr. Cougar Lacrosse program and has coached a Jr. Cougar team for the past four years. He is also the president of Chattahoochee’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Corrigan, who was also considering offers from Mt. Olive, Methodist, Lynn University, Mars Hill, Emmanuel and Tusculum, has played on the elite LB3 lacrosse teams for the past five years. He has played for Liam Banks, Neal Solomon, Jeff Wilkes, John Zulberti and Steve Ianzito and thanks all of them for helping him reach his goal of playing college lacrosse.
