Centennial Students Attend Expo

Several Centennial Business and Computer Science students attended the Seventh Annual Southern Interactive Entertainment & Game Expo at the Atlanta Marriott.  The students attended sessiosn on video game programming, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), computer game design and development at the college level, and students got a chance to play several new games developed by college students.

Additionally, the students were made aware of the opportunities in game development in Georgia and the specifically the Atlanta area.  Many of the session emphasized that there exists a general lack of awareness that game development requires highly-educated and specialized skill sets in physics modeling, artificial intelligence, massively-scalable networking infrastructures, digital security, graphic design, 3D animation, project management, and intellectual property law to develop good gaming products.
