Austin Crute Shines at the National High School Musical Theater Awards

Congratulations to Greater Atlanta Christian senior, Austin Crute, on recently adding a significant honor to his long list of accolades in the world of high school musical theater.  Crute, 2013 recipient of the Best Actor Shuler Award (top award for high school musical theater in Georgia) for his portrayal of "Scarecrow" in The Wiz, was one of 62 nominees from across the nation for a 2013 Jimmy Award, a national honor.  The prestigious award ceremony featured group performances by all nominees; Crute was honored to be selected to perform a solo on the stage of the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway.  Out of the dozens of nominees, Crute was recognized as a runner-up, receiving a $2,500 scholarship towards his education.  GAC is proud of the many ways Austin shares his talents with the GAC community.
