Join award-winning Children’s Picture Book Author Diane Z.
Shore for her class “Story Structure for Picture Books: What Editors are Looking For” at the NE Library on Saturday, Dec. 1. She will talk about conflict, challenge and something out of the ordinary; show versus tell; fire up the senses; and story structure.  Ms. Shore is a former teacher and has published several books with Harper Collins and Scholastic. She is the Friends of the NE Library Author-in-Residence for Fall 2012. Middle grade and high school students welcome. The Northeast/Spruill Oaks branch of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System is located off of Old Alabama Road. The library's advocacy group is Friends of Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library, which holds book club meetings in the library's Community Room. The library opened in 1999 and is adjacent to a wildlife habitat. It hosts a variety of classes and events for youth and adults.
