The Johns Creek Poetry Group welcomes Steven Shields as the featured poet and speaker at its Sept. 22nd meeting at the NE Library. Shields’s work is widely published; he is past president of the Georgia Poetry Society and has twice been nominated for the Pushcart prize. If you want to learn to express yourself through poetry, improve your writing skills or just appreciate the craft, join us for an Open Mic, thoughtful presentations and gentle critique! More About NE/Spruill Oaks Library
The Northeast/Spruill Oaks branch of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System is located off of Old Alabama Road. The library's advocacy group is Friends of Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library, which holds book club meetings in the library's Community Room. The library opened in 1999 and is adjacent to a wildlife habitat. It hosts a variety of classes and events for youth and adults.
