Wednesday's Whiz Kids: Victoria Hughes and Doonya Mereby Grade: 5th School: State Bridge Crossing Elementary Accomplishments: Victoria and Doonya received an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. through their hard work and dedication in the Legal Lives Program, where students learned about the legal system, courtroom procedures, and influential people currently in office. Wednesday's Whiz Kid: Emily Guo Grade: 4th School: State Bridge Crossing Elementary Accomplishments: Emily Guo is a very active student at State Bridge Crossing. Recently, Emily placed first place in the Fulton County Technology Fair in the category of 3-D modeling. Her project went on to the state competition.  She also is an enthusiastic writer. Emily’s writing piece won first place for fourth grade at State Bridge’s Young Author’s Competition. Eleven students from State Bridge Crossing Elementary participated in the Georgia Perimeter College Elementary Math Tournament recenlty and won the overall school competition. Wednesday's Whiz Kid: Manasa Bhatta Grade: 11 School: Chattahoochee High School Accomplishments: Manasa Bhatta was recently selected as a regional finalist in the Young Epidemiology Scholars (YES) Competition, the nation’s premier public health research competition for high school students.  This April 15-18 she was in Washington D.C. to present her research to public health experts and compete for scholarships.
