Raffensperger Wins City Council Seat in Runoff

Brad Raffensperger defeats Steve Broadbent by 285 votes.

Brad Raffensperger was the victor Tuesday night in a runoff for the Johns Creek City Council Post 2 seat being vacated by Dan McCabe at the end of his term.

Raffensperger claimed 54 percent, or 1,740 votes, while opponent Steve Broadbent garnered 45 percent, or 1,455 ballots.

The runoff became necessary when neither candidate won the majority on Nov. 8. In that election, Raffensperger was also ahead, with 42 percent, or 3,062 votes. Broadbent had 38 percent, or 2,759. Swapna Bhave claimed 18 percent, or 1,298 votes.

Brad Raffsenperger's statement on his web site of "This experience helped Brad quickly understand the challenges small business owners face with meeting a payroll and paying the bills" is far from the truth. As one of his business suppliers, his company is not paying outstanding invoices. Food for thought!
