It’s playoff time in Johns Creek next week, with Chattahoochee and Johns Creek high schools both hosting first-round games in the Class AAAA football tournament.

Chattahoochee and Johns Creek finished 1-2 in Region 7-AAAA and will host teams from 8-AAAA.

Chattahoochee, the defending state champ, has Habersham Central, 8-AAAA’s fourth-place team. The Cougars, which beat Rome 21-14 Friday to secure the 7-AAAA title, are 9-1 overall.

Johns Creek, also 9-1, beat Forsyth Central 44-14 Friday and will play Flowery Branch in the first round. Flowery Branch is the No. 3 seed from 8-AAAA.
