'Where's Julie?' – At the Dancing Goat!

Spoof on after-school specials debuts in Johns Creek on Thursday.

Expect a good laugh (and maybe a lesson) when the question "Where's Julie?" is answered at the .

Running Thursday through Saturdays, Jan. 26 to Feb. 4, at 8 p.m., the spoof on ABC's old "after-school specials," is probably best suited for mature audience members ages 16 and up, says the play's writer, Daniel Guyton.

The play centers around Julie, a pregnant teenage runaway, and her autistic brother and alcoholic father. And while it's funny, Guyton also hopes the audience will find some poignant moments, as well.

"Some people may be uncomfortable with the humor, but it's also sympathetic with a moral," he said.

Guyton's play won the Kennedy Center/ACTF New Play Award in 2001. The Dancing Goat production is directed by Eileen M. Fulford and stars Lory Cox, Jerry Jobe, Amy Tallmadge Kreissl, Kevin Kreissl, Chris De Laet, Jennifer Gullick, Wallace Perry, Josh Berwald and Emily Arvidson.
