Northview High School recently won first place in the Get There Green contest.
Thanks to a Clean Air Campaign grant, students from Jason Weinberger's AP Environmental Science class worked to raise awareness on the negative effects of air pollution and to encourage car pooling with various activities.
The Clean Air Campaign received a $50,000 from the UPS Foundation to fund the program, and Northview was one of 10 schools in the metro area that participated.
