Johns Creek TAG Teachers Awarded Grants
Seven North Fulton teachers receive grants from Fulton Supporters of the Gifted.
At the Fulton County Talented and Gifted Teacher seminars held prior to the start of the school year, Fulton County Supporters of the Gifted awarded nearly $2,000 in grants to 13 TAG teachers for curriculum materials to assist them in educating their students.
These included grants to Tom Sewell of Hopewell Middle School, Mariso DiSano, Jennifer Beard, Crystal Dorn and Laura Tavel from River Trail Middle School, Maryann D’Amelio and Suzanne O’Brien from Alpharetta Elementary School and Ann Scott Hanks of Ocee Elementary School. The grants enabled the teachers to purchase science supplies, scientific testing kits, and curriculum support books that would not have been available through normal school funding.
