  • Senate District 56 - A Democrat from Roswell, Akhtar Sadiq, has thrown his hat into the ring for the state Senate District 56 seat, guaranteeing a challenge for Albers, the Republican incumbent. Albers represents District 56, a small portion of Johns Creek. 
  • Senate District 48 - David Shafer-R will run unopposed for State Senate. Shafer, a Duluth resident, represents District 48.
  • House District 50 - Lynne Riley-R, will run unopposed for the State House. Riley, from Johns Creek, represents District 50.
  • Public Service Commissioner

  • Ballot Question: "Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended to allow state or local approval of public charter schools upon the request of local communities?"
  • Ballot Question: "Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended so as to provide for a reduction in the state's operating costs by allowing the General Assembly to authorize certain state agencies to enter into multiyear rental agreements?"
