JCPD Needs Help ID'ing Cigarette Theft Suspects
Suspects allegedly stole nearly $10,000 in cigarettes.
Johns Creek Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying three suspects involved in two similar thefts that occurred Aug. 11 and Aug. 13 in Johns Creek.
On Saturday, Aug. 11, around 3:15 p.m., three black males entered Kroger on Old Alabama Road. After distracting employees and cutting off the bolt on the store’s back door, they loaded up 175 cartons of cigarettes on dollies and rolled them onto a loading dock and stole them. Each carton was valued at $50, with a total theft of $8,750.
Two days later on Monday, Aug. 13, at close to 11 p.m., two black males entered the front door of the Walgreens on Kimball Bridge Road, and while one suspect distracted employees, the other forced entry into a caged cabinet in a storage area in the rear of the store and grabbed about $1,000 worth of cigarettes, throwing them outside the back of the store. Both suspects then exited through the store’s front door.
Descriptions of the suspects in the incidents are, as follows:
- Black male, approximately 28 years old, wearing white T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes
- Black male, approximately 28 years old, wearing blue collared T-shirt, blue baseball cap and blue jean shorts
- Black male, approximately 18-21years old, wearing blue T-shirt
- Black male, approximately 18-21 years old, wearing white T-shirt
