Fulton Science Academy Claims Inaccuracies in Audit

The Fulton charter school issued a press release that promises a full response after its governing board has time to study the document.

Fulton Science Academy Middle School's principal, Kenan Sener, issued a press release on behalf of the school saying an audit by the Fulton School System was full of inaccuracies.

"Needless to say, FSA is distressed by the School System’s consultant’s incomplete and inaccurate report. We do intend to provide a more formal response to the School System, after we have had a chance to review and analyze the report in more detail," the release states.

"We intend to provide a more formal response to the School System on the major issues in the near future," the release also states.

The school is now working on converting to a private, preK-8th grade school once its charter expires June 30, 2012.

The press release accompanies this article as a pdf file.

Kenan is that all the better you can do is just deny? What about the usual fodder..."we might be followers of FG but this is not a Gulen school" "we have no organic connections" "these are baseless claims" or the funniest "you have no scientific proof"
Kenan, let me share a secret with you. Americans don't like to be lied to, you have follwed Hocaefendi's Pearls of Wisdom on "keeping secrets" right out of the play book. You have manipulated a few in the community by bestowing gifts, awards, and trips to Turkey. Not to mention some campaign contributions as well as giving easy grades to a identified few that will promote you and your CULT.
Stop denying and start being honest for a change. Your only chance now is a private school, you cannot expect that to be successful if you continually lie to the community, parents and teachers.
Hopefully you have made arrangements to pay back the money and "stand tall" and not shame yourself or Cemaat any more than you have.
It's over. Move on to your Plan B (if you have one)

MARKMUNOZ IS GETTING PAID TO CONFUSE PEOPLE ABOUT FULTON SCIENCE ACADEMY. THIS IS HIS FULLTIME JOB UNTIL HE MOVES ON TO ANOTHER SO CALLED "GULEN SCHOOL". BY THE WAY HE IS RACIST BUT THE MAIN REASON HE IS DOING THIS IS TO MAKE MONEY. OF COURSE MONEY COMES FIRST FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ARE ON HIS MINDSET

Good Day,

What makes you assume that Mr. Sener is not American? What is it that makes you think that anyone with a Turkish surname is a member of Gulen and is not an American? Does it mean that all Americans with a German surname is a Nazis? Does it mean that all Americans with Russian names are Stalinists. Does it mean that all Americans with Arabic last names are terrorists?

We are a great nation of immigrants --- we come from all over the world to create a new life for our families, children and our future.

I have known Mr. Sener for several years and he is simply a man of great integrity, humility and and excellent teacher and administrator. You are making false allegations please stop. It is offensive and inappropriate.

If you wish continue to attack me as you have done numerous times on numerous sites.

Cheers

Tom;
So how long is several years? Do you really know what is in Mr. Sener's heart or the secrets he hides? Tom, you seem like a bright person, are we to understand you have NEVER seen 1 clue or hint of F. Gulen's books, teachings, mentioned by your buddies? That is hard to believe.
So why is it that F. Gulen's web site and his Today's Zaman have both ran an article regarding YOUR SCHOOL FULTON SCIENCE ACADEMY denying the accuracies of the audit? Why is that? Can you explain this at all? NY Times had the connection laid out very nicely.
Mr. Sener will have to deny it because this is what he has been taught at an early age from the time that he attended a Gulen Lighthouse School in Turkey. They become emotionally broken down over struggling with the truth about their affiliation. I am sure your friend Mr. Sener is very troubled and sad by having to lie to his American friends: Angela and Tom.
By the way, can you tell us how many of the parents have seen the truth by conducting their own research and had that henky feeling in their stomach? Many of them have contacted me and said "There was something wrong but I could never put my finger on it because the school was always ellusive, side-stepping questions or giving generic answers. Here is F. Gulen's article about your school, I guess the truth is out.

Dear James Depot (such a strange name)
First of all I hope you can see through your cult paranoia enough to discuss who or whom it might be that is paying me to "confuse" everyone? There is no confusing anyone - it is very clear your school LOST it's charter and soon the Fulton Science Academy will as well. If you cannot be transparent and honest with at least the remaining parents, you should at least come clean with yourself and what Fetos real agenda is worldwide. The only one that is paid or is a tool puppet is Hizmet, you are brainwashed from an early age of 12 taken to one of the (wink wink) "so-called" Gulen Lighthouses where you are seperated from your parents and taught the Gulen way, to eat, to breath, to live EVERYTHING Gulen no matter if that means lying, manipulating and in most cases playing naive victim.
So if I and others that are exposing your lies in the USA are getting paid "to confuse" everyone....who is paying us? FBI? CIA? Ergenekon? Kemalists? Who? Do tell.

Great post, Mark. The answers provided are much like the answers they have provided throughout the entire process. at this point they are playin the victim and they are far from the victim. They falsifies documents, claimed ignorance, recruited various legislators by giving them accolades an d publicity. If one were to look into donations to these politicians this year, one would find a signixant support from those at FSA. Check out the Senator from Dustict 56.
The school IS affiliated to Gulen via Grace Management. This is documented in school charter which can be found online.
I had the opportunity to meet with the FSA reps and they were nothing but arrogant an refused to provide answers to very important questions. They felt and it is evidenced that they did not need to be accountable or play by the riules. They were protected because of their political connections. FSA is NOT the poor victim. They have no intentions of paying back the money! Wake up, people. The taxpayers have been victimized by legislators and FSA.

AJC reports "Susan Hale, a Fulton school district spokeswoman, said the system conducted the $39,000 audit because the academy is going from a public charter school to a private school. Hale said the audit's findings have nothing to do with the ethnicity of FSA's staff." hahahahahaha..they keep telling stories..first they said "Audit was a pilot program for Charter schools and FSA was selected for this pilot program" and this audit started about 5 months ago! where FSA had no idea about going private....Dr.Avossa your team is not a good story teller..they make too many mistakes! such as releasing the student names to media. Your stories will catch up with you soon or later.

To Mr. Deeb;
Stop with the ranting and going on and on, YOUR SCHOOL IS CLOSED AS A PUBLIC SCHOOL - finish, gone, zip, nada, bye bye.
If you had the due diligence to check, the fact is your Gulen buddies are NOT naturalized American citizens and their loyalty is to one country and to one Cult.

Stop playing victim, the time to have been honest is over, you had your chance.

Good bye Mr. Deeb. it's over for FSA.

FSA is closed, none of what you say matters or is true.

End of Story...unless of course you and Hizmet want to sue the Fulton Board of Education. Why don't you do that, what paperwork are you willing to give up in discovery. If you file a lawsuit you will have to prove the audit is false and the allegations are false.

I for one would pay money to see the Gulenist go to court and prove they are not who they claim to be and dismiss all the allegations, try to prove the audit was "falty" "bad information" or based on "prejudice".

Go ahead file a lawsuit against the Fulton BOE and the Georgia BOE and see how your lies will be exposed.

To All: *** Most important takeaway here is to take ACTION during ELECTION *** This message rhymes so everyone should easily remember come this November and other Novembers to come. PLEASE do take ACTION and seek for the CHANGE at the BOARD LEVEL. Superintendent Avossa is NOT elected by the people. He was nominated, interviewed, and selected by the BOARD members so it's imperative that you get to know what your respective Board Member does, votes on, and is concerned about before you go to the polls every November.

' Take ACTION during ELECTION '.

It may be too late as the citizens of this county have NOT taken active roles in monitoring and guiding these Board Members. Often times, these Community School Board Meetings are empty except for a handful of same folks who come to these meetings (same faces most of the time and less than a dozen of those similar faces). So, where are the rest of you??? If you work during those morning hours, then take a half day or play tag team with your spouse/significant other in taking turns to attend these. Or, even play tag team with your neighbor(s), church member(s), ALTA member(s), or any friend(s) so that they can share their notes with you... get more involved in the process so that more people get the 'real picture' of what goes on. It'll open your eyes. You'll see how it's important that we ELECT the RIGHT PEOPLE to begin with... and that the RIGHT PEOPLE seeks to SERVE. This is where it starts.

Racist? Since when is Turkish a race? Thought we were all the human race. Frequently the Gulenists try to erronously throw out the race card as a cover to their poor behavior. What fake web sites are you talking about? Any websites I have cited has a source cited as proof. Never do I create anything..are you saying I created the mess with Wells Fargo? With the county or State BOE? Once again, assume some responsibility here.

To Javier;
Yes it is your business to sue the Fulton BOE if you feel they have been unfair or have "created" this unfortunate situation.
If you could be non biased you would see FSA administrators, Grace Institute and Fulton Educational Services share an equal blame. Anyone can sue for anything, it all depends if the FSA administration would like to spend the money and effort for a lawsuit and if the outcome would be in their favor.
The only thing I have written "1000 times" is that your school is CLOSED, it was DENIED. After you have repeated 1000 times how unfair the process was up to and including defaulting on a loan from Wells Fargo, that somehow that is everyone elses fault.
I spend no more time and energy with this issue than your side does being ineffective at complaining about "unfairness" but not keeping your focus on what your battle really is. I am merely, trying to help you focus on the fact that you have lost sight of the end game with your rantings of unfairness and no focus on that new private school moving forward.

I don’t think there is a serious issue with FSA, its management and relationship with its vendors. But it’s so apparent that FCS has real issues with FSA so they worked with third party legal firm which they arranged and paid 39,000 tax dollars (more than half of the visa processing fee). If this audit is really terrible, law enforcements would have been reacted so far.

What’s wrong with immigrant issues? We are in the middle of North Fulton area, surrounded by the High-Tech companies. They hire many international people from all around the world. Why? Because they can’t find qualified work force that they need. Those people who are working with work visas make our country stronger and stronger every day. Why those foreign teachers can’t work for our kids to educate our kids for those who will be the scientists and engineers of the future? Just like another company in North Fulton, of course FSA may hire international people as FCS did in the past. Maybe we are forgetting one thing: We have to be better than today to have a stronger future.
I don’t think there is a connection between the Gulen / Gulen Movement and Turkish businesses in Turkey. (Check http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBfPrUCpuDQ) Persistently, media (and some blogs made by Gulen opponents) is pulling the Gulen and the Movement next to the successfully operated charter schools. Even GBI declared that there is no connection between Gulen Movement and FSA. Why is this obsession then?

WRONG WITH IMMIGRANT ISSUES?
You mean why are American tax dollars to the tune of over $80,000 used to pay for h1-b Visas of the workers and their family. At least you could do is pay it back like your sister schools in Ohio (Concept Schools) paid back $13,000.00

Listen Peter, America owes you and your brethren nothing. Your teaching skills are nothing special, you recycle the same science projects: hovercraft, and other nonsense. Even the routines and choreography/ costumes for the Turkish Olympiads are the same worldwide. You even charge for the rental of the costumes which I am sure Americans are paying for.

Get lost or at least get real. America doesn't owe you anything. You are not all that. Besides YOUR SCHOOL IS CLOSED DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

1 MONTH FROM NOW, IT WILL BE FORGOTTEN.

Fudging again Peter or is it Hakan or ?

If Gulen has no connection to this school, why does he bother putting up an article on the Fethullah Gulen Web site about your school still trying to deny the authencity of the audit.
Perhaps, it's like Bekir Aksoy explained to Lesley Stahl, he doesn't visit his schools but "enjoys the fruits of his labor" Lesley, "So he does not even visit the schools in his own backyard - Pennsylvania?"
That Charter School in Pennsylvania was called Truebright Science Academy and it too IS NOW DENIED a charter.

Yawn. Peter you must come up with better lies to cover for your lies. IT'S OVER, YOU NO LONGER HAVE A SCHOOL. move on with the plans for your private school after you pay back the loan to Bank of America.

Do you understand that lying in America is unacceptable?

Not healthy to have all of these lies bottled up. The Gulenists lie so much about their affilation with Gulen that they become emotionally out of control because they really do have a hard time with this. After seeing your posts right after my comments, I saw your other posts above my post. You have entered multiple posts at different times. Interestingly, your first post was entered at 3:26 AM in a week day. And others follow each other. Also, you can easily confront with people even with Mr. Sener, the one of the nicest people in the world I have met. Are you really here to observe and share your opinions? I am not angry I am happy that the truth is out about your school and cemaat.

If you want to win an argument start assuming responsibilty instead of blaming Wells Fargo, the county and State BOE, IAG forensics accountant, Avossa, NY Times, etc., There are plenty of people in the community of Georgia that want you out because you cannot be trusted with money and lack the business professionalism to understand your mistakes and shortcommings (a sign of a successful business)

I don't have to answer to you because I am an American Tax payer that is fed up with paying for your H1-b visas. This audit is the scratch of the surface, wait till the other schools are audited.

You would be getting a lot further by making a statement to the community about your shortcommings, and chalk it up to a learning experience that will be corrected as you move forward with your private school. Talk about a shared responsibility rather than finger pointing the blame to others. After all, it was much of your poor decision making that caused you to be in this terrible situation. You see Peter S. when you lie, you just lie more to lie out of a lie.

If you don't plan on suing all the parties you claim have done you wrong or who were unfair. It is best you move on, ask the community for forgiveness, be sincere.

Change the name of Fulton Science Academy and re market yourselves. All the videos, PR, campaign contributions will not change your status you are CLOSED.

I believe that FSA is a good school. In the two-three years that I have been there, I have heard nothing about racism or Gülen movements. Honestly MarkMunoz, I, like Peter S, think that you are obsessed with Gülen movements, as neither I nor my friends/family have heard anything about Gülen movements in FSA until you posted, which was an untruth.

I, like the other posters, am just trying to tell you that the closing of FSA is retarded. Why are you so jubilant about its closing? Your first post (at 3 AM) said that you are speaking "advice" to Mr Sener. How do you "know" all this, do you know him personally, had him over for tea, and stalk him? Your posts, no offense, make me angry, as they have no basis and make no sense.

Dear Muhammad Khan;
Your school and it's administrators are the problem with their Turkocentric emphasis. Putting my tax dollars into the Gulenist Sponsored Turkish Olympiads, taking the parents and children to Turkey, teaching Turkish cooking. There are plenty of lawsuits and examples of these Gulenist operated schools prejudicial behavior and they are losing in the courts, having to settle before it reaches a court date. Let me correct you on the word "racist" Turkish is an ethnicity, not a race we are all the human race and caucausian. Some Turkish people have a huge asian influence as there ancestors hail from Central Asia Mongolia before they barbarically conquered other lands. Thereby the Turkish people you see today have the blood of conquered lands in them.
Here is your Fethullah Gulen's website specifically talking about Fulton Science Academy's audit issues. The funny thing is why is YOUR school on Gulen's website if you are not a Gulenist operated school? The other interesting thing is they put a picture of their Texas Harmony Science Academy with the article about Fulton Science Academy. You lose America wins, pay your defaulted loan and other money back and move on.

When you lie, steal and mislead American taxpayers how is it retarded?
Ask your attorney, who is fleecing you out of more money if he has a leg to stand on. Again, you spend more money intended for education of children needlessly to an Attorney who will not save your school.
Move on. If "Xenophobia" or "Islamophobia" and playing victim is your only defense you have no causes of action. By saying the school district is guilty of privacy breach because they had the names of the student's that FSA GAVE TO THEM you are wrong.
You can go all over the Internet and UTube and find countless examples of FSA and the Istanbul Center interviewing parents and students of FSA PRINTING THEIR names and asking them "Why Turkish is important for their children to learn"

I see your point on the subject. But none of us lied and mislead any taxpayers. All we wanted was a longer charter, which was "too hard" for Avossa.
As a student of the school, I can say that it is a very good school in relation to other public schools. I have a friend at Taylor Road MS and he says he barely gets any work based off of what I get.

Also, who cares if a Gülen association is sponsoring our schools? I agree that Turkish might not be the most important language to learn, FSA's Olympiads usually get 1st place out of 10 schools in almost every Olympiad. I wouldn't care if the Chinese government was sponsoring our Olympiads.

I saw that you are correcting me on Turkish not being a race. I agree that it's not a race, but what I was talking about is you saying "Hasta la vista Javier el perro".

And also, isn't Georgia one of the absolute worst states for education in the US? And still, FSA got nationwide recognition. That should account for something. It's almost as if Avossa only wants dumb schools to survive in Georgia.

MarkMunoz

Muhammed Khan;
Your school was given a 3 year renewal option but refused it. If you are a "student" at the school, I commend you for having some mature points to ponder. However, I find it hard to believe you are a mere "student"
Tomorrow is your last day 6/30 as a charter.
The decision has been made after months of trying to negiotiate with your board, the county and state BOE, etc., Your school didn't want to negiotiate they wanted to dictate as they do in other countries.
Yes, Georgia is one of the worst states for education and it is equally the worst for CHARTER schools cheating on exams and academics. Read the report by USA Today Reporter Greg Toppo.
You should care about the Turkish Olympiad, you and your fellow students are just a few of the tools used to further the movement. You are no exception, and there is over 8 Turkish Olympiads in the USA that these schools and their front groups sponsor. Then the winners get to go to the big Gulen show in Turkey for the international Gulen Turkish Olympiad. Where this year over 100 countries participated and over 1,000 children at Gulenist operated schools.
This year Erdogan spoke and referenced Gulen and asked for the person responsible for these Olympiads return back to Turkey. Lets see if Gulen will and face the public for his past attempts to overthrow a secular country.

FSA students learning Turkish and the Kolbasti is hardly a measure of success.

What appalling comments directed at FSA students are you refering to? Lets not forget how you have flooded the Internet using the children's names and their parents to promote theTurkish Olympiad and the school as some sort of "sick" endorsement of your average school. You promote your school way too much and now are under the microscope by Wells Fargo.
People that matter? You mean like your new landlord Wells Fargo? According to your dribble no one matters ----not even the Fulton County School board and Superintendant. Because they don't go along with your agenda and shut you down they are all insignificant?

Good luck with that private school and creating a hostile environment in Alpharetta, Georgia for your families. Seriously, hope you can pull it off but it isn't looking too good my friend because you have a blabbermouth and can't shut up.

Since when does pointing out certain attitudes, actions and behaviors become racists? The basic fact that that the school cannot handle money and there are questionable finances going on, breaking the law and not getting permits and damaging the environment is a concern. So unless these actions are somehow tied to your DNA your straw-man argument is hardly valid. I am also concerned of the behavior of comming to the comment board pretending to be a student a parent or a teacher that no other student parent or teacher has ever of. Seems fishy to us. Also your parnoid yet delusional beleif that anyone who has an opposing view point from you is somehow getting paid. Laughable. So please tell us and educate us all what mysterious and dark force would pay another to have an opposing view point from you? Enlighten us all please If you are convincing you may have your point. But I think not. With that in mind, with you delusions, paranoia, and incoherent ramblings is another behavior of a person or group that should not handle public funds yet be around kids

Tom Deeb is really wasting his time here coming to the boards when he should be going into that head school board member's office and in his face demanding to know what he did with Tom's money. Somehow Tom does have some sort passionate attachments to this school. So Tom take my advise , man up and get in his face and demand your money back. Sorry to say not just the state of Georgia and Fulton County, the parents who pre paid for a private school you to have been conned and swindled.
