Cat Shot With Pellet Gun
The following information was supplied by the Johns Creek Police Department.
On Dec. 28 a Johns Creek resident told police that someone shot her cat.
The cat's owner told police that her cat likes to hang around her cul-de-sac area. She said she saw the cat at 11 a.m. and it was not injured. Then, around 3:30 p.m., she heard the cat crying loudly and found her injured.
The owner took the cat to an emergency vet clinic, and was told it was likely the cat had been shot with a small calibur bullet. She was told a follow-up visit and surgery would be necessary.
The police officer looked at the cat's injury and determined it was likely caused by a high-powered pellet gun.
The cat's owner told police that she saw a child in her neighborhood shoot a pellet gun at another child earlier this year.
Police questioned several neighbors, who said they didn't see any incidents.
