Blotter: Fight Over Chores Leads to Arrests
The following information was supplied by the Johns Creek Police Department
Argument Over Housekeeping Duties Leads to Arrests
On Sept. 28 a Johns Creek Police officer responded to St. Andrews Apartments due to reports of a fight. When the officer arrived he found multiple people in the parking lot and suitcases, clothes, shoes and computer equipment scattered across the yard.
The officer was told that a verbal argument had taken place and that two roommates were arguing about housekeeping duties.
A witness told the officer that one of the men pushed the other out of the apartment, removed his shirt and attempted to get his roommate (his cousin) to fight him. Another witness stated that the man pushed out of the apartment told his roommate he was going to kill him, and that he made this threat as his belongings were being thrown out.
Based on witness statements and utterances made by the two subjects while the officer was on the scene, he placed one of the men under arrest for terroristic threats and the other under arrest for simple battery. Both men, ages 19, were transported to the Alpharetta jail annex.
Pipes Stolen From Construction Site
On Sept. 24 a Johns Creek Police officer responded to a Lakefield Drive construction site in reference to a large amount of stolen pipes. The officer was told that 7,000 feet of 3/4" pipe and 8,000 feet of 1/2" pipe belonging to Georgia Star Plumbing was taken.
The pipes had been left in a rack by the road, and there was no fencing or security at the site.
