Atlanta Gold & Coin Buyers Wins Kudzu Award

Johns Creek-based Atlanta Gold & Coin Buyers was recently named Kudzu's 2012 Atlanta coin dealer of the year and they're excited about the business' future.

"While we haven't been in Johns Creek long, as you can see, we're already making an impact in the community," owner Tony Davis told Patch.

Patch caught up with Davis to find out their secret to success and what keeps their customers coming back; here's what he had to say:

Patch: Tell us a little bit about your business and when you opened in Johns Creek?

Davis: We're a full service coin and bullion dealer specializing in buying, selling and appraising coins and coin collections of all types and sizes. We believe in transparency and exemplify these practices by posting our live buying rates online, by sharing with our customers the price guides/resources that we use to appraise the value of their coins, and by educating customers through informative articles, blogs and guides on our website and during our appointments. Our "appointment only" business model is appreciated by our customers, not only for the privacy it provides, but also because we're able to dedicate our undivided attention to our customers. We've been in business for three years and have been at our current Johns Creek location for approximately a year.  

P: What do you hope customers take away from doing business with you?

D: My goal is for our customers to walk away with a positive experience. This means that I want them to feel like we've treated them fairly, have offerred competitive prices and spent the time necessary to get them comfortable with the process and our rates. I believe that we do a good job of meeting our goal, as a high percentage of our customers - both on the buy and sell side - are repeat customers. Furthermore, a substantial amount of our business comes through referrals from previous customers.  

P: What does the Kudzu award mean to your business?

D: I view this award as validation that we're meeting the needs and expectations of our customers. While we're in the business of buying and selling coins and bullion, we're ultimately in the business of serving the customer, and as long as we continue to be a customer-focused company, I believe that we'll continue to grow our business.
